Boats

NCBC has a small, but perfectly formed, fleet of boats. Whilst a lot of training takes place in the eights (both the Lent and May Bumps, our main competitions of the year, are raced in eights), the smaller boats see a lot of use as our rowers seek to improve their skills and the four is often raced in Fairbairns at the end of the Michaelmas term.

We work hard to maintain the boats and keep them in tip-top condition, whilst also seeking to ensure that the fleet is kept up to date through the purchase of new boats and sale of old ones when required. The newest addition, "Rosalind Franklin", was purchased in 2015 and named at the beginning of the Easter term by our Head Coach Alan Hendrick.
